Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is reportedly making serious efforts to mend his relationship with his wife, Cristina Serra, following their unexpected separation earlier this year.

The couple, who have been together for over 30 years, announced their split in January. However, both have continued to wear their wedding rings, signaling hope for a possible reconciliation.

According to Spanish news outlet EN Blau VIP, Guardiola and Serra are now trying to give their marriage a second chance. They are said to be making efforts to reconnect and rebuild their bond.

Sources say Guardiola has been spending more time at their family home in Catalunya. He’s even using a private jet to visit more frequently, aiming to avoid long stretches apart.

Reports suggest the main reason for the separation was Guardiola’s decision to secretly renew his contract with Manchester City—something Serra had hoped he would discuss with her first. She reportedly expected him to either take a break or shift to international football so he could spend more time with the family.

He’s saying he could be in Manchester and come see her on a private plane in Barcelona once a week, then leave again. She wanted to separate because he secretly renewed his contract, without speaking to Cristina, but Pep wants to stay with her".

Guardiola, who joined City in 2016, has a contract that runs for two more years. Reports suggest he’s now working on balancing his busy football life with his personal commitments as he tries to repair his relationship.
