Nigerian musician Inkboy took to social media to voice his frustration with Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie over unpaid royalties for their joint track 'One Million Cedis'.The song, a hit featured on Sarkodie’s 'Jamz' album, has reportedly not yielded Inkboy his rightful share of earnings even a year after its release.
In a post on April 27 via X (formerly Twitter), Inkboy expressed disappointment, stating that resorting to public outcry was regrettable but necessary. He directly addressed Sarkodie, urging him to honour their agreement and pay the overdue royalties.
The situation has not only strained their professional relationship but also led to backlash from Sarkodie’s fanbase directed at Inkboy for raising the issue publicly.Despite this, Inkboy remains steadfast in his demand for what he believes is rightfully his.
With tensions escalating, the spotlight is now on Sarkodie to address these allegations and fulfil his obligations to Inkboy for their collaborative success.

I made this song and gave it the title one million cedi and all I get now is hate from @sarkodie fans cos I’m not allowed to call him out ?? As a bigger person is one year not enough time to do what is right ? I won’t let this slide give me my royalties pic.twitter.com/1SdXsM8aTV— INK BOY🐻 (@inkboyofficial) April 27, 2024
