Witnesses report that after the incident, Victor took his own life by consuming poison. The couple, who had eight children together, had a history of domestic disputes, with Akua having previously left due to ongoing issues. Kofi Bonsu, Akua’s brother, provided further insight into the horrific event, stating that Victor had asked Akua to gather cassava from a nearby farm. It was there that he attacked her with a machete, taking her life in a shocking act of violence.
