On Thursday, July 13, Ghana's Thomas Partey played for Arsenal in their first pre-season friendly match.
The midfielder, who joined his club for pre-season training a week ago, started in midfield as Arsenal faced Nurnberg, a German team.
During the first half, Partey dominated the midfield as Arsenal took a 1-0 lead, with Bukayo Saka scoring in the 7th minute, assisted by Ben White.
In the second half, Partey and other players were substituted, and the game took a different turn.
Nurnberg managed to equalize through Kanji Okunuki in the 63rd minute, resulting in a 1-1 draw.
After the match, Arsenal fans on social media expressed their desire for Thomas Partey to remain at the club for the upcoming season.
