Police have thronged Nsawam Adoagyiri in the Eastern region after a fatal shooting incident on Tuesday resulting in two deaths.

The two deceased individuals, presently at Nsawam government hospital morgue, were among four individuals wounded in renewed chieftaincy conflicts between Akyem Kotoku and Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council.

The tensions escalated after the installation of a rival chief at Nsawam Adoagyiri by Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council.

In response, the Municipal Security Council plans an urgent session while police intensify investigations to apprehend the suspects involved in the shooting.
