A tense security situation is unfolding at the Greater Accra Regional Collation Centre as hundreds of National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters have gathered in protest.
The NDC supporters are expressing concerns over what they allege to be an attempt by the Electoral Commission to rig the election results. The unrest is largely fueled by disputes over results from constituencies such as Okaikwei Central, Dome-Kwabenya, and Ablekuma North.
As the crowd of protesters grows, authorities are increasing security measures to maintain order and prevent further disturbances.
Notable NDC figures, including Sam George, Dr. Peter Boamah Otukonor, and Malik Basintele, have been spotted at the centre, alongside NPP representatives Frank Davies and Anthony Karbo.
The growing tension comes as demands for the Electoral Commission to begin announcing results from across the country intensify. To date, results from 15 regions have been collated, with Ashanti Region remaining the only one not yet processed.
