The Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs has instructed all Regional Ministers and Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) to quickly provide a list of Assembly Members in their areas.
This request is part of preparations to start paying Assembly Members monthly allowances.

The Ministry has asked all officials to use a standard template provided and submit the required details by email to the Decentralisation Unit. They are also to copy Mr. Samuel Passah at samuel.passah@mlgrd.gov.gh. The deadline for submission is Friday, 9th May 2025.
This directive, dated 30th April 2025, supports the government’s commitment under the "Resetting Agenda" and refers to Page 73, Section 395 of the 2025 Budget Statement, which allows for monthly payments to all Assembly Members.
Assemblies are urged to take this directive seriously and submit the information on time to prevent delays in rolling out the allowances.
