Ato Forson voiced his disapproval after President Akufo-Addo delivered the State of the Nation Address today in Parliament, emphasizing the perceived consequences of the president's decision. "Our president, following the recent ministerial reshuffle, has increased the size of government," he remarked. "Mr. Speaker, today we have a Minister for Finance Domestic and Minister for Finance International.

"The recent appointment has been condemned by many. Renowned Ghanaian economist Kwame Pianim described the appointment as unfortunate, stating that it has eroded the goodwill that came with the recent reshuffle of ministers.Ofori-Atta was relieved of his position as Finance Minister on Wednesday, February 14, and replaced by Mohammed Amin Adam.
