The High Court's decision on January 24 to acquit ACP Agordzo, along with Colonel Samuel Kodzo Gameli and Corporal Seidu Abubakar, of treason charges marked the end of a protracted legal battle. Kpebu believes that offering a contract appointment to Dr. Agordzo would not only restore his professional standing but also contribute to the positive work he was undertaking for Ghana.

Speaking on the January 24 edition of Ghana Tonight on TV3, Kpebu expressed his sentiments, stating, "It will not solve all the problems, the destruction. It will not make him regain everything he's lost, but at least, it will rehabilitate him a bit, because they've destroyed him on frivolous evidence."Kpebu further revealed that they are preparing to take legal action against the government for malicious prosecution.

He asserted that the state prosecuted Dr Agordzo for political gains, accusing them of abusing the criminal justice system to stifle dissent and silence public officers critical of the government.“We are building a case, malicious prosecution. When we say malicious prosecution, it is a case where somebody takes you through the criminal justice system, through trial, etc., without justifiable reason," Kpebu explained.
3
"We will show how this was an abuse of the process from day one."He also challenged the government's motives, questioning why similar statements made by President Akufo-Addo during his time in opposition did not lead to any legal action against him.Meanwhile, despite Agordzo's acquittal, six other individuals, including three soldiers, were sentenced to death by hanging for their involvement in the same case.

The verdict has ignited discussions about the legal proceedings and the implications for those accused in the high-profile trial.
