According to reports, Alberta and the suspect had been in a relationship for some time before the unfortunate incident occurred. Details emerging from the investigation suggest that this was not the first instance of violence in their relationship. Last year, the suspect allegedly poisoned Alberta, but she was saved by doctors at Akyem Ayirebi.

The sequence of events leading to Alberta's death began when she fell ill recently and sought her boyfriend's assistance in caring for her. Trusting him to provide support during her illness, Alberta invited the suspect to her home.

However, unbeknownst to Alberta, the suspect had allegedly devised a sinister plan to harm her. Instead of offering care and support, the suspect reportedly confronted Alberta, accusing her of being unfaithful. In a fit of rage, he is said to have struck her with a club, resulting in her immediate death.

The tragic incident took place in Breman, a community within the Ofoase Ayirebi constituency. According to Rev. Thomas Odame Bempong, who reported the story on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5 FM, the suspect remained at the scene beside Alberta's lifeless body for nearly 24 hours following the alleged assault.
