He added that seeking guidance and comfort from one’s roots during times of uncertainty is both reassuring and wise.“This is part of our culture,” Mahama stated.“When faced with anxious moments, it is customary and meaningful to seek strength and direction from our ancestors through prayer.”His visit, he added, was both a personal ritual and a way of honouring his family’s legacy.

Mahama’s act resonated with many, as it highlighted the importance of maintaining cultural practices even amidst the demands of political life.Following his prayers, he proceeded to join other voters in the Bole-Bamboi constituency to exercise his democratic right in Ghana’s pivotal elections.
