Some parts of Accra will be left without power from 9AM to 4PM today, the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has revealed.

The affected areas are; Madina Zongo, Redco flats, Madina market, Madina Firestone, Kouttam Estate and Teiman burgers town.

In a circular dated August 8, 2022, the ECG explained that the disruption in power supply is to allow its staff undertake maintenance works.

According to the power service provider, the current work is to ensure that it is able to improve its service delivery.

Meanwhile, the Electricity Company of Ghana has apologised to citizens for the "inconvenience that will arise out of this exercise.”

Since the beginning of the year, ECG has been engaging in a number of maintenance works to ensure it meets current demands.
