The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has commissioned a locally made mini Jeep, known as the "Ghana Army Mini Jeep" (GAMIJ), designed to provide easy transportation within the barracks.
Warrant Officer Class One Awal Mohammed, a driver with GAF, is credited with manufacturing the jeep, which is a modification of the locally used tricycle or "Aboboyaa."
The GAMIJ, with low fuel consumption, is priced at GH¢60,000.00 and is intended for use by military units for various errands within the barracks.
The vehicle was unveiled during the West African Security Social Activity (WASSA).
