1 min readThe official launch of the One Million Coders Programme is currently underway at the Kofi Annan ICT Centre in Accra, as government kicks off an ambitious initiative aimed at equipping Ghanaian youth with critical digital and coding skills.

The programme, which begins with a pilot phase in the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Bono, and Upper East regions, is drawing over 500 participants from Accra, Kumasi, Sunyani, and Bolgatanga to mark its commencement.

Speaking ahead of the launch, Minister of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, revealed that talks are ongoing with international tech leaders Google and Amazon to help shape the structure and delivery of the programme.
