3 mins readMember of Parliament for Bawku Central Constituency, Mahama Ayariga, has provided details of victims of the alleged military killings and brutalities that ensued in Bawku on Tuesday 31st January and Wednesday 1st February 2023.His claims are yet to be verified, however, these are the individuals who are said to have sustained casualties as a result of the violence.

His mother was also sustained wounds in her left hand from the gun shots of the military and is receiving medical treatment. According to reports, his father had also been killed by the military.The military is reported to have burned Sumaila Jafaru in a room full of hay where he had taken refuge. The incident occurred in their house. The deceased mother resisted and that is how they shot her in the hand.

Meanwhile, Mr Mahama Ayariga, has petitioned the Commission On Human Rights And Administration Justice (CHRAJ) to look into the reported killings and brutalities of his constituents by officers of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).
