The lifeless body of a man, in his mid-40s, Billy Bless was discovered on Thursday, October 26, 2023, in the bedroom of a police official's residence in Kpetoe, Volta Region, according to Graphiconlie.com reports.

The police official in question is a Superintendent of Police and serves as the Kpetoe District Police Commander, but her identity remains undisclosed.

At the time of the incident, she was reportedly away in Ho, leaving her official residence unoccupied.

Tragically, it was in this vacant residence that the deceased, identified as the fiance of the police officer, was found lifeless, prompting immediate action.

His body has been transported to the morgue at the Ho Teaching Hospital (HTH) for preservation and an autopsy.

Here is the sequence of events leading to this distressing discovery: On October 25, 2023, Billy Bless visited the Superintendent of Police, who was in Ho visiting her ailing father.

After his visit, he left the police officer and her father in Ho without disclosing his whereabouts. He later traveled to Kpetoe and informed the police commander's driver of his intention to stay overnight in her official residence, and the driver entrusted him with the house keys.

The following day, when the police driver noticed that the key had not been returned to its usual location, he contacted the police commander, who was still in Ho.

She was informed of the unusual situation and directed the driver to seek the assistance of a carpenter to gain access to the residence.

Upon entering the bedroom, an unexpected and harrowing sight was revealed: it was locked from the inside. It took the combined efforts of the carpenter and law enforcement to force the door open, unveiling the tragic fate of Billy Bless.

Graphiconline's Alberto Mario Noretti delved into the backstory, uncovering that the deceased and the police commander had been planning to marry.

However, their separation followed revelations that Billy had another girlfriend with whom he had a child, possibly contributing to the tragic outcome.

While initial investigations are underway, sources suggest that the incident is currently being treated as a case of suicide.
