Tanzanian music sensation Diamond Platnumz has urged African industry players to encourage collaborations among artistes, emphasizing that it is a crucial step toward uniting the continent’s music industry.
Speaking with Becky on JoyNews on March 24, 2025, Diamond Platnumz highlighted how partnerships between musicians from different African countries help break barriers, expand audiences, and foster unity.
"It's good to collaborate with different artistes because you create a bridge between your country and the other person's country, and this unites the continent," he stated.
He pointed out that collaborations not only enhance the reach of artistes but also strengthen cultural exchange, leading to more appreciation of Africa’s diverse musical styles.
"Another benefit is the shared fan base between both artists. So, to me, collaboration is a great thing to do," Platnumz added.
The award-winning artiste further encouraged industry stakeholders to actively create opportunities for collaborations, stressing that it would significantly elevate African music on the global stage.
Beyond music, Diamond Platnumz revealed that he is considering making Ghana his new home due to the warm reception he has received from fans.
