Former Central Regional Minister, Kwamena Duncan, has scolded Ningo Prampram MP, Sam George for describing Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as a "religious prostitute."

Sam George accuses Dr Bawumia of being a Muslim by day and a Christian by night because he once mentioned that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Saviour and also failed to speak for Muslim girls on the issue of hijabs and fasting when the need arose.

However Mr Duncan has rubbished all such claims as he believes Sam George is only determined to undermine Dr Bawumia's religion.

"Otherwise if we were to put our head to use, Isn't that the best for our country? Where there are no chinese walls, that you are here and we are there, that we become united despite our religious differences? A member of parliament doesn't see the good act of this?

Kwamena Duncan: So if they are celebrating Eid al-Fitr or Eid al-Adha and he purchases rice and oil to present to them, and they subsequently pray for him, he is saying….?

Voice of Allotey Jacobs: In essence they are prostitutes so they should take…[Laughter]

“So it’s up to him as a member of parliament to downplay the religion of someone else like that,“ Mr. Duncan concluded.

He says the MP said the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Paty (NPP) cannot be trusted when his choice of religion is unknown.

He argued that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is a Muslim by day and a Christian by night.

He accused the Vice President of refusing to speak for Muslims in the past when they needed him.

He then concluded that Sam George is not someone who should be allowed to lead the country as president.

“You are talking about a man whose character you cannot vouch for. Do you know whether our vice president is a Muslim or a Christian? Who told you he’s a Muslim? He’s a Muslim by day and Christian by night,” Sam George opined.
