The cruise ship MV World Odyssey with a floating university has arrived in the Kenyan town of Mombasa. The boat lets college students and recent graduates study at sea for a semester, traveling to different countries to learn about their histories and cultures. "On the ship, there are 763 people. 585 of them are students who will go on educational tours, explore the city, and visit wildlife parks while they are in Kenya," the Kenya Ports Authority posted on X. The university also welcomes people who are 30 years old or older and want to keep learning, as well as teachers and employees. It is often called the "largest floating school in the world". The college, run by the Institute for Shipboard Education, has been going to Kenya every year since 2022.
