Popular Nigerian singer Rema has refuted claims of joining the Illuminati, a secret society often speculated to have links to the entertainment industry.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, Rema encouraged his fans to inform one another about his background and heritage. He expressed that he has been putting in diligent efforts for a considerable period of time.

He said that he has been working hard for a long time and that his success is not due to any supernatural forces.

Rema wrote, “Day 1 Ravers, help me educate the new Ravers that I have been on this bat shit for a long time. You all would have so much clarity if you easily Google where I’m from, what the key colors of my heritage are, what flies in the skies of Benin every evening, etc.

“As I evolve, my execution will evolve unapologetically. Please know your artist. It is why I do interviews. And that Illuminati talk is trash. I work too hard to create art for you guys to give the glory to some diabolical shit. Dead it now. Jesus is King.’

Rumors about celebrities, such as the one claiming Rema joined the Illuminati, are just one of many circulating in the entertainment industry.
