Acknowledging their pains, she admonished the parents of the late 12 year old girls to allow God and time take course in their healing from their trauma.She noted that, "When I put myself in our father's shoes, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of pity for him. No parent punishes their child simply for being stubborn. While I’m not here to defend him or anyone else, it’s clear that the loss of these young lives is incredibly painful.

Regardless of which family may have had more children, the real issue lies in the tragic circumstances that led to their deaths. This must be unimaginably traumatic for their parents.
