Sammi Awuku, the Director General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA) , recently underscored the challenges and resilience necessary for active participation in the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Widely recognized for his steadfast commitment to the party, Awuku passionately discussed the demanding nature of political engagement during an interview on Peace FM.

"Managing a party like NPP is not a small matter. I have been at Asylum Down headquarters for 11 years, serving as deputy communications director, National youth organiser, and National organiser. We navigated through challenging situations to ensure the party's stability. When you are at the party’s headquarters, it takes courage and determination, or else you can't be there,” remarked Sammy Awuku.

He continued by acknowledging the struggles within the NPP headquarters, advising party members to unite for a resounding victory in the upcoming general elections in 2024.

"My colleagues there, I know what they go through at the regional and national levels. The parliamentary primaries are a crucial step in our journey to the general elections. Let NPP emerge victorious. Acrimonious campaigning should be avoided. Post-January 27, we need people across to help deliver."

Awuku, who has held pivotal positions within the NPP, including National Youth Organizer, National Organizer, addressed the challenges faced by party members and leaders.

He touched upon the intense scrutiny and public expectations associated with being part of a prominent political party.
