Former Ghanaian boxer Bukom Banku, also known as Braimah Kamoko, emphasized his commitment to a clean lifestyle, revealing that he avoids smoking and drinking due to his Muslim faith.
During an interview on Showbiz 360 with Giovani Caleb, the 46-year-old comedian shared that while he once resorted to violence against those who disrespected him in his Bukom community, he has since changed his ways.
Banku stressed that he has never sought spiritual assistance for his success, attributing his achievements solely to God's influence.
He dismissed claims of using 'juju' (traditional African spiritual practices) to boost his career, warning that such practices have dire consequences for one's descendants.
He also offered advice to his son, urging him to steer clear of distractions from women and to concentrate on his career.
“In my life, I have never smoked or drink alcohol because I am Muslim.
“Nobody can do ‘juju’ for me in this nation. Who says he’s done juju for me to support my career? Never in my life.
“It’s God…If you go for Juju and you die your children will face the consequences and it will affect their future. Anybody who claims to have given me juju should come out and say it. My superstar is real,” he stated.
