Popular Nigerian singer Naira Marley has expressed his willingness to return to the country to address allegations of his involvement in the death of his former label signee MohBad. However, he conditions his return on the assurance of his safety by the police.
Naira Marley made this commitment during an interview with former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, on Wednesday. His statement indicates his desire to cooperate with the authorities while emphasizing the importance of ensuring his security during the process.
“100 per cent, if they can guarantee my safety, I will be there,” he said.
The Marlian Music Boss has been living outside Nigeria since he was accused of involvement in MohBad’s death on September 12, 2023.
Naira Marley has maintained his innocence in the matter but has expressed concerns about returning to Nigeria without police protection due to safety fears.
The Nigerian police have reportedly initiated an investigation into the allegations against Naira Marley, although they have not yet disclosed any findings or conclusions regarding the case. This situation underscores the importance of due process and ensuring the safety of all individuals involved in legal proceedings.
