Ghanaian music sensation Gyakie has revealed her cautious stance on romantic relationships within the music and creative industry. In a recent interview with 3FM, Gyakie expressed that while love is undeniably beautiful, being involved romantically with someone in the same field can pose significant challenges.
Gyakie emphasised that love can be unpredictable and acknowledged its beauty, but she currently prefers not to date someone from within the industry. She explained, "I won't advise that to myself. If I had another version of me, I wouldn't advise that because it can be very, very tricky but you never know.“Love is a beautiful thing. I wouldn't say it's wrong, but at the same time, right now, I wouldn't advise myself to be with an industry person,” she said.
The musician, known for hits like "Forever," further shared insights into her personal life, revealing that her latest song "December" was inspired by a period of personal disappointment. The song's lyrics reflect her emotions during a tough time, including struggles with suicidal thoughts. To navigate through these challenges, Gyakie took a break to rediscover herself and her musical style. She aims for a fresh start in both her personal life and career, prioritising her well-being and artistic growth.
