1 min readGhanaian singer Olivetheboy has expressed his dissatisfaction with how artists and patrons were treated upon entering the venue for the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs).Speaking to Nana Romeo on Accra 100.5 FM’s Ayekoo Ayekoo, he described the entry process as chaotic. "The entry was crowded as artists approached, and some of the people who were supposed to receive us were talking rudely," the Bu Vision Music star lamented.

He emphasized that his experience was not unique, echoing the frustrations of “even the people who were coming to see the event.”“They need to speak to us nicely,” he insisted. “That's the only thing I didn't like.”The singer-songwriter also mentioned that his Best Afrobeats Song of the Year award for the megahit 'Goodsin' was taken backstage. “I don't know when they'll return it unless I ask,” he said.

“They had us take pictures, and then they collected the plaque.”He concluded by noting that this was his first-ever award in his music career.Organized by Charterhouse, the Telecel Ghana Music Awards took place from Saturday, June 1, to Sunday, June 2, 2024, at the Accra International Conference Centre’s (AICC) Grand Arena.
