The award-winning artist revealed that around 10 am that day, he tried accessing the internet on his phone but encountered connectivity issues.Initially suspecting a problem with his device or SIM card, Shatta Wale later learned from his personal assistant that the internet was indeed down across the country.Expressing his frustration and helplessness, Shatta Wale mentioned feeling unwell as a result of the situation.

He admitted to initially lacking clarity on the cause but later heard about the undersea cable disruptions that led to the nationwide internet blackout."I thought my phone was at fault. I thought maybe there was something wrong with my sim card. So I called my personal assistant and he told me the internet was not working," Shatta Wale said.

The interview shed light on the challenges faced not only by Shatta Wale but also by many Ghanaians and other African nations affected by the widespread internet disruption on that fateful Thursday.Meanwhile, several African countries experienced internet disruption on Thursday, March 14, 2024, due to multiple undersea telecommunication cables encountering failures.
