The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, has praised President Akufo-Addo, calling him a "legacy president" for his dedication to the well-being of police officers.

During the inauguration of 320 new homes for the police service at the Tesano Police Training School, Dr. Dampare commended President Akufo-Addo for his substantial contributions to the police force since he assumed office.

Dr. Dampare highlighted the significant upgrades in police logistics under President Akufo-Addo's leadership, including the distribution of over 4,000 motorbikes across the country.

He noted that President Akufo-Addo's initiatives have extended police coverage to previously underserved communities, contributing to a notable reduction in crime and reinforcing Ghana's reputation as one of the world's most peaceful nations.

Additionally, Dr. Dampare pointed out the creation of 181 regional police units, each staffed by an average of 35 officers and equipped with vehicles and motorbikes.

This strategic enhancement, driven by President Akufo-Addo, has significantly boosted the operational efficiency of the police service and bolstered national security.
