The running mate of the 2024 New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has stated that Ghana is not experiencing hunger under president Akufo-Addo's leadership.

According to him, Akufo-Addo is the "only President in Ghana under whose 8 years administration that there has been no hunger”.

He claimed that the fact that there isn't any hunger while the NPP is in power is evidence that God has blessed the nation.

“Do you see the weather? Today, God did not let the sun shine, I’m I lying? He made it rain for the ground to be wet. God has Blessed NPP.”

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO) made these remarks during his introduction ceremony at Kumasi Jubilee Park as the running mate of NPP presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Dr. Opoku Prempeh emphasized that the favorable weather that day was a divine blessing upon the NPP.

According to him, “while the whole world was experiencing hunger, Ghana had enough food. Let us give thanks to God almighty for what he has done for us”.
