A group of New Patriotic Party (NPP) youth in the Ablekuma West Constituency has taken the initiative to secure and submit nomination forms on behalf of aspirant Roni Nicol.

These youths, previously empowered by Nicol, are demonstrating their support for his bid to become the Parliamentary candidate for the constituency.

Expressing his confidence, Roni Nicol anticipates victory in the upcoming party primary scheduled for Saturday, January 27, 2024. Despite challenging the incumbent Member of Parliament, Ursula Owusu Ekuful, Nicol remains optimistic about the outcome.

In an interview, Nicol emphasized his focus on his strengths, abilities, and the positive reception of his message among delegates.

He stated, "I am extremely confident of unseating Hon. Ursula Owusu Ekuful as the NPP Parliamentary candidate because I focus on my strength and abilities and what I bring on board. I don’t focus on my opponent’s strength or weakness."

A well-regarded and well-resourced politician, Nicol believes that his ground-level efforts and the encouraging feedback from constituents position him favorably for victory.

He envisioned leading the NPP to retain the Ablekuma West seat in the 2024 Parliamentary election.

Arguing for a change in leadership, Nicol pointed out the declining voter turnout and the increasing votes for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the constituency.

He highlighted the need for a fresh face to energize the electorate and boost party numbers.

Nicol further emphasized the significance of the 2024 election, noting the large number of unparticipated voters in the previous election.

He aims to address this issue by mobilizing support, working tirelessly, and ensuring a robust campaign to maximize votes for both the Parliamentary and Presidential candidates.
