1 min readData released by the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) on Friday, June 19, 2020, shows that Ghana has the fourth-highest recorded coronavirus cases on the continent.So far, Africa has reported 275,327 confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of June 19, 2020.According to the Africa CDC figures, there have been 7,395 deaths and 125,316 recoveries in the region.

Ghana is fourth after South Africa, Egypt and Nigeria with regards confirmed cases.Ghana has recorded 12,929 cases of Friday, June 19.However, Ghana has one of the lowest case fatality ratios on the continent.South Africa has recorded 83,890 cases, followed by Egypt and Nigeria with 50,437 and 18,480 cases respectively.
