1 min readThe Ministry of the Interior has announced the closure of all land borders for 48 hours as part of security measures for Ghana’s December 7 presidential and parliamentary elections.According to a statement issued on December 6, 2024, and signed by Interior Minister Henry Quartey, the borders will remain closed until 6:00 PM on Sunday, December 8, 2024.

The Ministry has called on the public and travellers to comply with the directive, which aims to safeguard the integrity of the electoral process.Meanwhile, the Kotoka International Airport remains operational to facilitate air travel.
