The 2024 flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and former Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has expressed his unwavering belief that future generations will recognize and appreciate the efforts of former President Akufo-Addo.

During a stop on the party’s Thank You Tour, Dr. Bawumia commended Akufo-Addo’s leadership, asserting that his significant contributions to the country's growth will ultimately be valued.

Dr. Bawumia underscored the remarkable changes that occurred across various sectors of the Ghanaian economy under Akufo-Addo’s leadership.

“History will reflect positively on President Akufo-Addo for the courageous decisions he made for our nation’s benefit,” he remarked.

While acknowledging that certain initiatives may have been controversial, he emphasized that future generations would recognize the long-term benefits of Akufo-Addo’s leadership.

Having served as Vice President throughout Akufo-Addo’s term, Dr. Bawumia pointed to key successes such as the implementation of Free Senior High School education, digital transformation of government services, and large infrastructure projects.

“These are not temporary policies; they represent investments in the future of Ghana,” he said. Dr. Bawumia reassured party supporters that the NPP is committed to building upon the achievements of Akufo-Addo’s presidency.

Wrapping up his address, Dr. Bawumia encouraged Ghanaians to continue supporting the NPP, reaffirming the party’s dedication to ensuring the country's continued development.

“We are grateful for your trust, and we are determined to work relentlessly towards the prosperity of our nation,” he concluded.
