"In some instances, schools had to skip meals, meaning they would have breakfast, skip lunch, and only have supper, even if just for a day. I can confirm that this has happened," stated the Jirapa headmaster, who chose not to disclose specific names at this time.He further continued students in Jirapa Senior High School have been left with the option of feeding on maize for survival.

He attributed the situation to the impact of Akufo-Addo’s Free SHS policy.“As I speak, apart from maize, I don’t have anything currently as I sit and I am mentioning my school. Last week we received some food stuff, and we got so much maize. We didn’t receive rice until yesterday when I had to fall on my PTA to give me some rice. I just came from Accra Central.
