Frank Annoh-Dompreh (@FAnnohDompreh) October 4, 2023Felix Kwasi Owusu-Adjapong, born on February 13, 1944, served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Akyem Swedru in the Eastern Region and held the position of Minister for Energy during his political career.Owusu-Adjapong was a member of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Parliaments of Ghana.

He was initially elected as an MP for Akyem Swedru in the 1996 Ghanaian general elections, winning with 15,824 votes, which accounted for 45.30% of the total valid votes cast.He secured re-election in the 2000 Ghanaian general elections with a majority of 14,614 votes, representing 56.80% of the total votes cast.

During his political career, he served as Minister for Transport and Communications in February 2001 and later as Minister of Parliamentary Affairs in April 2003.In the 2004 general elections, he was once again elected as an MP, receiving a majority vote of 21,048, equivalent to 66.94% of the total votes polled.In 2007, Owusu-Adjapong resigned from his ministerial role to make an unsuccessful bid for the presidential nomination of the NPP.

He did not run for his parliamentary constituency in the 2008 General Elections, and Joseph Ampomah Bosompem won the seat for the NPP with a majority of 8,469 votes.In June 2008, he was appointed as Minister of Energy and held the position until the end of John Agykum Kufuor's government in January 2009.
