Former Di Asa contestant Mama Gee has reportedly passed away, leaving many fans, friends, and loved ones deeply shocked and saddened.
The news of her death was shared by her fellow contestant Pandy, who expressed her sorrow in a heartfelt video posted on TikTok.
In her emotional post, she wrote: “Aw, Mama Gee of Di Asa fame is no more ooo. So, Mum, I’m not going to see you again, Mama Gee,” accompanied by crying emojis that reflected the pain behind her words.
The cause of Mama Gee’s death has not yet been made public, but the emotional reactions on social media show how deeply her passing has affected many—both those who knew her personally and those who admired her on screen.
Mama Gee rose to fame during the very first season of Di Asa, a reality show on Atinka TV that celebrates plus-size women through dance and cultural expression.
