A video circulating on social media captures workers in Accra celebrating the overthrow of Ghana's first president, Kwame Nkrumah.
Nkrumah's government was toppled in a military coup d'état led by army officers Colonel E.K. Kotoka, Major A.A. Afrifa, Lieutenant General (retired) J.A. Ankrah, and Police Inspector General J.W.K. Harlley.
The coup leaders justified their actions by accusing the Convention People's Party (CPP) administration of corruption and abuse.
This historic video has resonated with many Ghanaians, who now revere Nkrumah's legacy, recognizing his political achievements and significant contributions to the development of modern Ghana.
