Ghanaian US-based broadcast journalist and the founder of Loud Silence Media, Kevin Taylor, has alleged that the outspoken Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram and lead sponsor of the anti-LGBTQ+ bill, Sam George, is gay.
A video posted by blogger and social media critic Albert Nat Hyde @Bongo Ideas and sighted by The Independent Ghana shows the silence media founder accusing Sam George of being gay. The MP has the opportunity to come and defend himself and prove to Ghanaians that he isn't gay, Kevin said.
"Do you know Sam George is gay? Yeah, I'm sure you have opened your mouth in awe. Yes, Sam George is gay.Can you prove it to me? Sam George is not gay; I want you to prove me wrong. If Sam George is listening , I want him to come and tell Ghanaians that he is not gay.".
On his part, Ningo-Prampram's obsession with the bill and its passage is questionable.
He contended that if just a look at an individual could reveal the person's sexuality, then Sam George should be able to come out to defend himself against the allegations he is making.
"You can just look at someone and say the person is gay. You can't say he isn't gay because he is married, Because people are married and they are gay, there are strapping men and even muscular athletes who are still gay.So I want to state on record this evening that Sam George is gay
"As he said earlier , he wants us to have an intellectual conversation, and this is exactly what we are doing right now.So if you are listening to me right now, producer on record, let it go out…Sam George is gay. If he says he is not, he needs to prove to Ghanaians that he is not.
