The Upper East Regional Command of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), as part of the week-long Fire Safety Campaign Week observation, has embarked on fire safety sensitization in some selected mosques and the two main markets within the region.
The team visited the Central Ahmadiyya and Alasuuna Mosques and took them through vital topics like: proper handling of cylinders at home, acquisition of permits for building plans, using certified electricians for wiring and how to use the fire extinguisher.
The participants had the opportunity to ask questions to further enhance their understanding of fire and appreciated the officers for the education.
