Tamale's Modern City Hotel is buzzing with excitement as Failatu Abdul-Razak prepares for a momentous challenge: breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest continuous cooking session by an individual.
The stage is set with a specially designed kitchen, encased in transparent glass, at the hotel's forecourt.
This unique setup showcases an array of canned foods, diverse spices, and cooking utensils, along with informative displays about the record-breaking endeavor.
To ensure an immersive yet safe experience for spectators, a ribbon barricade has been placed a few meters from the cooking area, allowing the audience to witness the event while maintaining a respectful distance.
Failatu is scheduled to commence her culinary marathon on January 1, stretching through to January 5, aiming for a total of 120 hours in the kitchen.
This ambitious attempt is poised to surpass the current Guinness World Record, held by Irish chef Alan Fisher, who set the record earlier this year with a cooking session lasting 119 hours, 57 minutes, and 16 seconds.
