Danny Murphy thinks it's time for Manchester United to fire manager Erik ten Hag. The Red Devils lost 3-0 to AFC Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Saturday. Bournemouth could have scored even more, but one goal was ruled out and Dominic Solanke hit the post. United have lost seven out of 16 games in the Premier League. They are currently in sixth place in the table, but they could drop lower after Sunday’s games. Ten Hag's team will probably be knocked out of the Champions League unless they can beat Bayern Munich in their next game. They also need Copenhagen and Galatasaray to draw in order for them to move on to the next round. Murphy wants things to be different at United. He said to the Daily Mail, "The win against Chelsea during the week didn't really solve the problems. " Chelsea ran past them many times. Bournemouth got three goals and they almost got a fourth one. This result shows that United are in trouble. United don't want to go to Anfield and lose by five goals. They were beaten by seven points in March. The same thing happening again could lead to a change. Post-game interview with Erik ten Hag after Bournemouth defeated Manchester United 3-0. "I always thought United would give Ten Hag more time, but to reach their goals, they might need a new manager now to figure out what needs to be done. " I feel bad because Ten Hag is a nice guy, but it seems like the United job was too soon for him. At Ajax, he didn't have to lead famous players. He never had to deal with always being watched closely at one of the largest clubs in the world. He's trying to learn while working, but it's not going well. If the manager does not change, then the style will stay the same. It's time to make a change, but only if they have a plan ready. Firing Ten Hag now doesn't make sense unless United know what they want to do next. But it’s obvious that this manager is not the best person for United. "If Bournemouth beat City 3-0, you would be really surprised. " You would feel the same if they went to Arsenal and won by three goals. When they go to United and do it, you just don't care. "That explains everything. "
