1 min readA statue honoring COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), has reportedly been vandalized by unidentified individuals.The monument, which was unveiled in October last year by EOCO staff, was erected to recognize the leadership of COP Addo-Danquah. The surrounding space was named "Obatanpa Tiwaa Gardens" as a tribute to her contributions.

However, the destruction occurred around midday when the perpetrators gained unauthorized access to EOCO’s premises and defaced the structure.Despite the presence of security personnel during the incident, the assailants managed to damage the statue without being stopped, according to reports.

The unveiling of the bust previously sparked significant reactions on social media, with some questioning the legitimacy of the decision by EOCO staff to commission the monument without apparent governmental approval.
