Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has expressed disagreement with the popular belief that formal education is the only path to success.
According to him, he finds it difficult to understand why some people confidently claim that one cannot succeed in life without schooling. Anytime he hears such remarks, he questions the reasoning behind them.
While acknowledging that education may ease certain aspects of life, Shatta Wale maintains that it is not a guaranteed ticket to success
"People say, without school, you can never be successful. Me too, I never see a teacher driving a Rolls Royce."
In a humorous comparison, he stated that despite the long-standing notion that education leads to prosperity, he has yet to see a teacher cruising in a Rolls Royce.
He argued that if academic qualifications truly determined success, then teachers—who spend their lives educating others—should be among the wealthiest individuals in the world.
