The NDC's parliamentary candidate for Tema Central for the 2024 elections, Ebi Bright, has been selected as the nominee for the position of Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive in the Greater Accra Region.

Some residents in the area have raised objections following her nomination.

In addition, Ludwig Totimeh has been named the Municipal Chief Executive for Tema West.

These appointments are in line with the guidelines stipulated in Article 243 of the 1992 Constitution and the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), which was later amended by the Local Governance (Amendment) Act of 2017.

The nominations will now undergo approval by the respective Assemblies.
