Bright Kwame Lenwah, supplied trucks and equipment to aid the repair process. The effort was considered essential since road construction work had not yet begun despite being awarded to a contractor. <img alt="" class="wp-image-576316"/>Drivers and residents expressed their hope that the initiative would help reduce accidents on the deteriorating road and commended the communal spirit demonstrated by the community.

“We are pleading with the Government to listen to our plight as several calls on government have not been positive. We are pleading with the Regional Minister to find a lasting solution to the road issue because we are tired,” he said.Mr. Aziz Bawa, the Chairperson of Nkwanta North GPRTU, stated that the poor condition of the road is adversely impacting their business.

It is also contributing to increased vehicle maintenance costs, as well as a higher incidence of vehicle breakdowns.
