2 mins readManaging Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr, has ridiculed some New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary aspirants who have sought the assistance of numerous pastors and those who used unconventional methods ahead of the party's primaries. In an interview on Peace FM, he humorously highlighted some amusing circumstances that certain aspirants have found themselves in."The primaries has become scary.

There are those who are now suffering from running stools. Others are super scared," he said.Mr Pratt Junior singled an aspirant who had over 10 pastors laying hands on him for victory."If you see the newspapers, one of the aspirants has over 10 pastors laying hands on him for victory. This has become serious. A pastor is not enough, he has to go for more than 10. It is not easy," he noted.

According to Mr Pratt, these actions will not be necessary if one diligently worked to ensure constituents are taken care of."But if you duly served, you do not need 10 pastors to lay hands on you to be victorious. Your work will tell but if you did not go and work, you can bring 2000 pastors, and still lose."It has become a practice in Ghana that whenever there is an election, aspirants can even fly to Israel for prayers.

So if you go to Israel, we will just vote for you because we are stupid?" he lamented. The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has approved 105 polling centers for the upcoming Parliamentary Primaries scheduled for January 27, 2024.Out of approximately 400 individuals who obtained forms for the NPP Parliamentary race, 376 underwent the vetting process.
