Nigerian actor and self-styled pastor Yul Edochie has stirred debate on social media with his recent advice to his followers. Edochie suggested that people should spend their savings rather than saving them for the future. He encouraged his Instagram followers to enjoy their money and also share it with those in need, arguing that death is inevitable and they will end up leaving their savings behind if they don’t use them.
The reaction to Edochie’s advice has been mixed. While some people support his perspective on living in the moment and generosity, others criticize his advice as imprudent and risky.
Expanding on his views, Edochie stressed that life is not as serious as many perceive it to be, and that everyone will eventually face death. He urged people to relish their lives and be generous with their wealth instead of clinging to it. “We’re all going to die eventually. Life isn’t as serious as we often make it. Spend your money, enjoy it, and share it with others. Otherwise, you’ll end up leaving it all behind anyway,” he said.
