At Kakpayili, a suburb of Tamale in the Northern Region, police have uncovered the bodies of eight missing children at the home of a suspected ritualist. The man is believed to be involved in the kidnapping of several children reported missing in the community.

Reports indicate that suspicions about his involvement led to his being taken to the local chief. Subsequently, the police conducted a search of his residence, where they discovered six bodies in a locked room.

An additional two bodies were found in an abandoned Opel vehicle on the property.

The suspect, along with his family, is currently in police custody and assisting with the investigation.
