Construction has commenced on several inner-city roads in Ho, the capital of the Volta Region.This initiative is made possible through funding from the World Bank and is part of the Ghana Secondary Cities Support Program managed by the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.The project aims to upgrade selected roads, with a focus on applying bitumen surfacing to most of them for the first time.

Additionally, some roads will have drainage systems integrated into their design.The roads in focus include Bob Coffie - CK Road, Blissam - Zion junction, Charcoal Market Road, Star SHS-Scrap Top, Ahoe public toilet junction-Heve Road, and Barracks New Town Road, among others. Openya Construction and First Sky Limited have been contracted for the construction work.<img
