Chelsea has included Napoli's forward, Victor Osimhen, as a potential target for their January transfer plans, according to sources cited by ESPN.

Chelsea is actively seeking a center-forward and is currently keeping an eye on Brentford's Ivan Toney, who has also attracted interest from Arsenal, as previously reported by ESPN on September 26.

The ultimate decision regarding whether Chelsea or Arsenal will officially pursue Osimhen in January remains uncertain.

Real Madrid has also shown interest in the player, and the outcome may hinge on the progress of negotiations with Brentford concerning Toney.

Napoli is intent on retaining Osimhen at least until the following summer while working on securing a new contract for the 24-year-old.

However, these negotiations have encountered delays, initially related to the size of the release clause Osimhen seeks and later due to a TikTok post that the club subsequently removed.
